This was the absolute sweetest newborn session with the softest of pinks, precious bows and adorable outfits. She was a sleepy one with not a care in the world and made my job super easy and fun! There was one moment that she was awake and you will see how adorable those turned out! I say let them be awake for their session, at least a portion of it so that you can see more of their developing personalities already emerging. It's phenomenal!

One of the most asked question before a session from my MOMs is this:

"What if they don't fall asleep and stay asleep or need to eat?"

MY ANSWER: It's perfectly normal for a newborn to be awake during their session some, also wanting to eat during and require to be cuddled.....absolute must!

No worries because after 23 years doing newborn photos, I have become well versed in what is needed to soothe baby and get them super comfortable for their session. A ton of patience and care goes into each and every single image you see. The prep work to choose the sets and outfits to the final tiny touches that make the image perfect. No two images will ever be the same, unless I am wanting to capture that sweet grin that often comes when you least expect it.

Sometimes, the sleepiest babies at home will be the awake babies at the studio when they arrive. Either way, it's nothing to worry about as that gives me the opportunity to incorporate MOM/DAD into the photos during those awake moments. They are super sweet photos, especially when they make those adorable faces at YOU!
